2008 News Items

Early Easter Eggs for Everyone!

 

Our Good Friday Children's Service and Easter Egg Hunt were as successful as ever this year - even though the weather did its worst! Having been warned that snow was possible, everyone arrived well wrapped up against the weather, but despite a few heavy showers, all of the 102 intrepid treasure hunters completed the new course successfully, to be presented with their cream eggs, balloons, hot cross buns and drinks - in addition to the ice creams and other goodies collected along the way!

 

The Church was packed with over 250 people at the service- and as our camera can't see round corners, here's just a picture of the main part of the Church....

 

 

St. Michael's Band - and Junior Band - provided excellent musical support, as always....

 

 

but the service eventually descended into planned chaos as the Treasure Hunt began!

 

 

Finally, proof that all made the finishing line after a long tour of Mile End - , and crammed into Myland Parish Halls for refreshments.
