Lent Course

Our course for Lent 2018 will be "Nothing More and Nothing Less" written by Virginia Moffatt and based on the film "I Daniel Blake" directed by Ken Loach and written by Paul Laverty. It will be an interesting challenge to us all; a lesson on how people can be treated in our modern world against how Jesus engaged with those in need in his day.

The course will take place on Thursdays (two sessions available: 2pm and 7.30pm). If you'd like to join us then please let us know (via the church office) which session time you plan to attend. There will be a book accompanying the course; price to be advised.

Meeting dates and session titles are as follows:

8th February (when we'll watch the film)
15th February (Systems of Oppression)
22nd February (a break due to Deanery Synod)
1st March (Staying Human)
8th March (Compassion in the Darkness)
15th March (Fighting Back or Giving In)

22nd March (The Suffering Servant)

We do hope you can join us on this journey.

If you're not able to join us for a course you may like to undertake some self study by reading St. Michael's Christian Book Club's current book; and you are of course welcome to go along to their meetings.

The Alpha course
