Knit & Natter

Hand knittingAbout us

We are a friendly group of people who meet in St Michael’s Church to knit (or crochet) and to natter. All levels of knitting, from the beginner to the advanced. We are friends, neighbours, people who live in the Myland area and beyond……some of us go to St Michael’s Church and some of us don’t.

When we meet

We usually meet every Wednesday, in St Michael’s Church, from 10.30am to 12 noon. If you can’t come every week, that’s fine, you are very welcome to come along when you can.

What we do

We bring our own knitting WIP’s along (works in progress) and/or do some knitting for a charity we support. We enjoy knitting (and crochet too), have a good natter, and at the same time have a lovely cuppa with a biscuit or two (especially if there are chocolate ones…..)

If you don't want to knit, but fancy a natter - that's fine too!

Knitting for charity

We knit for a range of charities, or just for fun. We recently worked for ‘Christian Hope International’ which is based in Romford, Essex.

Can’t get to our group? You can still join in….

Help us by knitting at home. You are very welcome to join in with our group by knitting baby clothes, or squares for blankets - preferably 5 or 6 inches.

Help us by joining squares into blankets - either by sewing or crochet.

Help us by donating some wool - the odd ball of wool you don't know what to do with. The jumper you never finished... we can use the wool!
