A few weeks ago, the Bishop of Colchester, Rt Revd Christopher Morgan, contacted us asking whether he could come along and see the good work taking place on New Braiswick Park. We were delighted of course, and suggested that he visited us on the occasion of Rosie Tallowin's first anniversary of her ministry here.

So on Saturday 18th September we held a party, and invited a number of local residents, some of the people from St. Michael's, and the Bishop came too.

He was taken on a tour of the expansive and still-expanding development by Rosie together with Nicholas and Stuart Pearkes, who also welcomed him into their home.

Bishop Christopher remarked on the various styles of housing, the Community Garden and plans for the retail units; we made sure he was aware of the issues we face including car parking and the bus route, and he was as keen to listen as he was to ask questions.

He was impressed by all that Rosie had achieved in her first year, and by the way community spirit was growing - helped by the events at 11 Tufnell Way, the Newsletters and of course the Facebook page which is getting an increasing number of hits.

Back at no. 11, there was an impressive spread laid out for us all, and a birthday cake too! Conversation continued into the evening, and the Bishop commended everyone for their community spirit and friendship.
