"Society has lost its moral compass"
"We need to get back to traditional values"
"We need to build a strong community"
Could that be you talking? We've all said
those words, or something similar, at some time or another -
now's the time to put words into action!
The Christian communicator J John has been
touring the country for ten years with a series of sermons
on the Ten Commandments - and they're now on ten interesting
and captivating DVDs. His vision is for 2,010 Churches
across Britain to take part in the Course in the autumn of
2010; and the three Churches in Myland have made plans to be
involved.
We'll be looking at one of the Ten
Commandments each week for ten weeks; they're no longer
"Thou shalt nots" but are positive guidance on how to build
a better world, and we'll be looking at them in reverse
order, starting with "Thou shalt not covet" (which J John
turns round to become "Find true contentment"), and ends
with no. 1 with its focus on God and His love.
We plan to run six separate groups, at
different days and times, hoping that there'll be a group
that's convenient for each one who would like to attend.
The planned sessions are listed below; email
just10@mylandchurch.org.uk or ring us on 01206 249154 to
book in for the most convenient time. We're taking bookings
now - contact us soon, to make sure you're booked in to the
group of your choice!
