The Church of England Parish of Myland largely follows the boundaries of the municipal Parish Council on the north-western side of Colchester. It contains the long-established areas of Mile End and Braiswick, a number of newer housing developments such the Romans Estate and Turner Rise; new areas such as the Hakewill Estate in Colchester's Northern Approaches; and continuing developments at New Braiswick Park and Northfields. The site of the former Severalls Hospital and the land west of Mile End Road are also earmarked for substantial residential development.

There are a number of hospitals within the Parish, including Colchester General Hospital; many industrial sites including the Flakt Woods factory; a Retail Park with a large ASDA store; the Weston Homes Community Stadium is in the Parish, as is the main-line Colchester North railway station.

We are pleased to be members of Churches Together in Myland, where we join with the local Methodist and Roman Catholic Churches for joint events and initiatives; and we also have good working relationships with our colleagues at the Hospital Chaplaincy. We also provide Chaplaincy at ASDA.

We are also welcomed at Myland Primary School, our highly-regarded Community School, where we are pleased to take part in many activities.

The Church fellowship is active in the community, and keen to support our local Parish Council in serving all our residents. In the other pages of our website – click on the words to the left – you will find more about who we are, what we do and how to contact us. We hope you will – and we look forward to seeing you in Church, or in and around our friendly Parish.
