World Day of Prayer Service - Friday 5th March, 2.30pm

This year's World Day of Prayer service has been prepared by the women of Vanuatu on the theme 'Build on a Strong Foundation'. Situated in the South Pacific, the islands have been devastated in recent years by cyclones; most recently by Cyclone Harold in April 2020.  Every year, Vanuatu is one of the first countries to start off the wave of prayer on the Day of Prayer.

The World Day of Prayer, as the name suggests, is a global event, but it is also an ecumenical one, with Christians from different denominations coming together in worship at a local, national and global level.

Our World Day of Prayer service will this year be held on Zoom due to the ongoing restrictions, but it will still be a joyful service of worship, thanksgiving and reflection.  So please do join us on Friday 5th March at 2.30pm on Zoom. Contact the church office for access details.

Lent Course - Living in Love and Faith

Christian teaching and learning about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage

For our Lent course this year, we'll be following the Church of England's Living in Love and Faith course, which sets out to inspire people to think more deeply both about what it means to be human, and to live in love and faith with one another. It tackles tough questions and the divisions among Christians about what it means to be holy in a society in which understanding and practices of gender, sexuality and marriage continue to change.

Sessions will be held on Zoom and will run on Wednesday evenings at 8pm (except Week 2, which will be on the Tuesday), with another session on Thursday afternoons at 2.30pm for those unable to meet on the Wednesday, and for anyone working through issues from the Wednesday session wanting an opportunity to talk them through while they are fresh in the mind.

Week 1: Weds 24th Feb 8pm; Thurs 25th Feb 2.30pm
Week 2: Tues 2nd Mar 8pm; Thurs 4th Mar 2.30pm
Week 3: Weds 10th Mar 8pm; Thurs 11th Mar 2.30pm
Week 4: Weds 17th Mar 8pm; Thurs 18th Mar 2.30pm
Week 5: Weds 24th Mar 8pm; Thurs 25th Mar 2.30pm

There is a course book to accompany the sessions.  Please contact the church office for details.
