If you’re new to St. Michael’s, or this is the first time you’ve visited the site, we’re pleased you’ve found us! We hope you’ll find everything you need here, whether it’s the times of our services, whom to contact, or information about our Church fellowship and local community.

You’ll also find news about St. Michael’s, as well as links to local news and organisations. We do our best to keep it all up to date – but that could be a perpetual task, as we live in one of the most dynamically changing areas of north Essex!

Of course, one way of getting to know us is to drop in at our services. You’ll find St. Michael’s at the top of Mile End Road, and the spire of our Church is visible for miles around. It will be our pleasure to welcome you in person.

Sunday, 6th July

Our main service of the week, at 10:15am next Sunday, will be Holy Communion. The service will also include prayer and laying on of hands for wholeness and healing, where we invite anyone to come to the communion rail for a moment's prayer - for a personal need, or for the needs of another.

Revd John Chandler ordained Priest

John, our Deacon who has been with us in Myland since 2005, was ordained Priest by The Bishop of Colchester, The Rt Revd Christopher Morgan, in an inspiring service in St. Michael's on Sunday, 22nd June. Click here to read more, and to see some photographs.

Myland Parish Halls Modernisation Project

There's lots happening at the Halls, as we make plans for the modernisation Project - including our Grand Summer Fair on 26th July. Read more on the web at www.mylandparishhalls.org.uk; see architects drawings, and find out how our fundraising is going!

Lorraine George School of Dancing & Performing Arts

Lorraine tells us that the School, the Church's nearest neighbour at 305 Mile End Road, are running a Summer School from 19th to 22nd August, with sessions in both mornings and afternoons.

It's "Open House" for midweek Church fellowship

Ever thought of going to a House Group? It's an informal, regular get-together where we study, pray and... well, just chat and be friends! The next meeting is this Thursday evening, 7:30pm, at 40, Tall Trees. Pam and Eric will make you most welcome!

Community Action in Mile End

CAM have been working for the development of the Mile End community since June 2006, and their work is entering its most exciting phase. Click here to go to their website - which we are delighted to host - and see all the projects they are promoting or leading. It makes impressive reading!

Spring Harvest 2009

There'll be a party of us going to Spring Harvest again in 2009 - week 3 at Skegness - and it's good to report that the places are successfully booked. It's not too late to join us, as we have just a few possible spare places. Email us for details.
